Fast kinetic pulses are generated in an electromagnetic field and transmitted to a rigid rod. In the rod steep longitudinal shock pulses are forwarded to the tip. The stone which is in close contact to the tip is effectively fragmented.
Can be used in the ureter (tight ureter stones), urinary bladder and for percutaneous kidney stone fragmentation.
